Numbers 34 – The Master Builder.

Numbers 34 is one of those chapters that so easily gets skimmed over because one can hardly read through all the lists of names and places provided. But keep this in mind: The Israelites are at the “doors” of Canaan about to take possession of their inheritance…where are you today?

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession…”

If you got stuck on those first couple verses, fear not, you’re not alone 😀 As we look back through the ups and downs of the Israelites we realize that they could have already been in the promised land for at least forty years…instead they’ve had to travel around in the desert. But at last the time has come to receive the promise made to Abraham and his descendants. What about us though? Well, Jesus made a similar promise to us. He said, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am” (John 14: 1-3). Jesus can’t wait to be reunited with us once again! What about you? As you look at the new reports and the world around you, is this a place that you can truly call “home sweet home?” Jesus is preparing a place for you right now and He will be coming soon. Are you preparing for his coming? Jesus reminds us today, “I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds” (Rev. 22:12).
Are you ready to move out of this place and into the heavenly Canaan?

Blessings,
Josue Hernandez
