West, Texas Disaster – A Prayer

We just wanted you to know, as a blog, we’re asking that you keep the community of West, Texas in your prayers. Last night there was a huge explosion at the local fertilizer plant in the small city of West. Up to 40 people were killed, including 10 local volunteer firefighters, and many lost their homes.  We just pray that God’s Spirit would be with the people affected by this devastation. And that God would be with all the families who have lost loved ones and homes, that His comforting presence would be felt.

Let us take claim the blessed promise that Jesus gave His disciples for comfort, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in Me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” – John 14:1-3, NLT.

Pray for the community of West, Texas.
