Psalm 34 – Taste and See

When you taste things you usually see the food item as either tasting good or tasting bad, weird huh? Just last night I went out with some friends to eat some pizza and the word on the street was that this place is the best place to get pizza in town. It looked good, it smelled good, but didn’t taste good. After tasting it I will forevermore see that pizza as bad.

When we ‘taste’ the Lord we see Him as good, especially how He’s revealed in chapter 34 for psalms.

God is good. When we come to Him He is faithful to help us in our times of need. God is always there regardless of the situation. The only thing He waits for is our call for help. In this psalm David writes to show the faithfulness of God’s character being there at every time of need in our life. When you are at your lowest, turn to Jesus; He’s waiting. Dive into God’s Word and seek to know Him through it. God wants only the very best for you. When ‘tasting’ God’s Word you can truly see that He is good.

As verse 3 reads, “Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.”

God be with you.
