Psalm 44 – Redeem Us, O Lord

Have you ever been in a situation of a lot of trouble, and you have a very “good friend”, but that friend lets you down and does not help you in your situation? What do you do in that situation?

20 If we had forgotten the name of our God
or spread our hands in prayer to foreign gods,
21 God would surely have known it,
for he knows the secrets of every heart.
22 But for your sake we are killed every day;
we are being slaughtered like sheep.
23 Wake up, O Lord! Why do you sleep?
Get up! Do not reject us forever.
24 Why do you look the other way?
Why do you ignore our suffering and oppression?
25 We collapse in the dust,
lying face down in the dirt.
26 Rise up! Help us!
Ransom us because of your unfailing love.
—————————————————————————————
GOD loves us with an unfailing love. Every day He teaches us a lesson. GOD gives us that lesson the easy way just that sometimes we don’t listen to HIS word like before GOD has helped everybody in the Bible. Sometimes Bible characters didn’t see this help, and thought that GOD was not there. This is the situation here in this psalm, people thinking that GOD is not there. But you just have to look for HIM HE is the one to look for in times of trouble. GOD will always be there—do not forget if you feel like HE is not there, HE is! Look for HIM, because GOD is merciful with all of us.
