Psalm 65 – Great is Thy Faithfulness

Perhaps this is providential but as I began to think of what to write for this specific chapter of the Bible the title of this blog began to play on Spotify. As you read this chapter I think you’ll see why I feel this song is so appropriate.

What mighty praise, O God,
belongs to you in Zion.
We will fulfill our vows to you,
for you answer our prayers.
All of us must come to you.
Though we are overwhelmed by our sins,
you forgive them all.
What joy for those you choose to bring near,
those who live in your holy courts.
What festivities await us
inside your holy Temple.

I think this chapter speaks for itself so I have little left to say, after reading the whole chapter except, that God is good. Although, as I read, I didn’t really look at my surroundings and see the beauty described here, I thought of the few places on Earth that still retain some of their “Edenic” beauty. But even more than that, I was reminded of what awaits us in our home beyond the sun. If we know that Jesus’ will keep His promise. The question at hand then becomes, “Are you ready to enter into that spotless heavenly kingdom?”

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.”

Blessings,
Josue Hernandez
