I don’t know about you, but I am certain that I can’t say what Paul said in verse one of this chapter. . . . As we read it let’s analyze our lives.
And looking intently at the council, Paul said, “Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience up to this day.”
Here Paul is standing in front of the most powerful and most religious people and telling them that he has done nothing wrong. What amazes me the most is that if you read Paul’s story, and I highly recommend it, you will learn that he went through many beatings and trials and even then he still spread the good news to many people.
But most amazing of all is that in 1 Timothy 1:15 he says, “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” We have all sinned but Jesus came to give His life for us so that we can have eternal life. So let us not be discouraged by our past, but keep looking forward so that one day we can say what Paul said in verse one and be able to stand up for our faith no matter what!
God bless you today and each day 😀
