Isaiah 28 – The Cornerstone

When building a house, we need to use a very strong foundation–especially in an area with a lot of earthquakes, unless you want your house to fall down! But even more than that, we need a stronger foundation for our lives… check these verses out to see Who can be our foundation…

Therefore thus says the Lord God,
“Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’ And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plumb line; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter.” Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, you will be beaten down by it.
Isaiah 28:16-18

Isaiah 28What better foundation do we have then Jesus? None, honestly. He is the rock that has gone through everything and therefore knows what you are going through. If there is bright sun and a perfect day, there He is with you. And when storms and troubles come, He is also there supporting and encouraging you even though it may not seem like it. There is a song that says, “The wise man built his house upon the Rock.” Without Jesus, we would have had to die eternally, but because of Jesus we no longer have to die eternally as long as we are cemented on The Rock–Jesus Christ.

God Bless you today and always 😀
