2 Chronicles 13 – Standing for the Right, but Still Surrounded?

2 Chronicles 13How many times have you taken a stance for something that is right and you felt like the whole world is against you? That is what Abijah would have felt, he was outnumbered 2-1, 800,000 to 400,000. But that didn’t stop him, because he wanted to restore honor to God and unite the divided kingdom.

The odds could have been 100 to 1 and it would have not made a difference because God was the General of the army. Just like in those days God is the General of His Army today–the Church. Do you have a worthy cause? Do you want to restore God’s honor in your community? Then this story is applicable to you. Frequently the New Testament (2 Timothy 2:3-4) calls us Soldiers in Christ. No matter what the odds are against us or how little hope there seems to be, let’s not be scared or doubtful because our General Jesus will fight our battles. By faith we will have the victory. Apply this lesson to your mission and GO FORWARD with Godspeed!!!
