Daniel 12 – Time of Trouble, Time for Hope

image

Are you afraid of what might happen to you if the end of the world comes? You’ve probably heard all sorts of theories, most of them likely false, about just how the world will end. You’ll be happy to know that I’m not going to add another theory to your “what if” list. Nor do I plan to spend this space pulling the rug out from under your favorite theory. What I am going to do is share something with you from the Bible that gives me comfort, hope, and peace. I hope it will do the same for you.

No matter what theory you subscribe to, you’ll probably agree with me that things will get worse before they get better. Daniel 12 begins, “And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time.” Too many people have stopped reading right here and thought about just how bad the “time of trouble” will be. I’ve met people who were traumatized and terribly frightened by the very thought of the “time of trouble” because it had been preached so much to them as children. But there’s good news in this chapter—news you can’t afford to miss!

But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.
Daniel 12:2

Yes friends, there is good news about the end of time! When we see that things are getting incredibly bad, and we use the clues found in the Bible to know that the “time of trouble” has indeed arrived, we will know that our deliverance is just around the corner! Jesus will be on His way to rescue everyone—dead and alive—who have made Him their very best friend.

Rescued from this world and all its death and delusions? I’d say that’s very good news!

Let’s live in Christ alone so that we can all be together when the trumpet sounds, the dead in Christ rise first, and we will all be forever with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

I’ll see you then,

Timmy Baze 😀
